Where confident braiders are made.

Professional braiding training, taught hands-on in groups of six at our Dublin studio. Whether you have never braided before or you can braid but your work isn't where you want it yet, you'll leave knowing exactly what your hands are doing and why.

knotless braid training Dublin

Limited to 6 seats per training

I did braid training with Angela and she’s an incredible teacher. I was a complete beginner, and she was so patient, showing and explaining over and over until I got it, without ever making me feel uncomfortable. I enjoyed my time, gained confidence to keep practicing, and I’ve now added braids to my services. Highly recommended!

What training is right for you?

Person braiding long, dark, curly hair

You've never braided, you're self-taught from YouTube videos, or you just want to learn properly

You have never braided, or you've watched videos and tried on yourself or a willing friend, but your hands feel clumsy, your partings come out uneven, and you're never quite sure if you're doing it right. You want to learn it properly the first time instead of struggling alone.

→ Start with Braiding Foundations.

You can braid but you see room to improve, or you want to start getting paid and attract the best clients

You can get the style in, but your partings aren't clean enough, you're slower than you want to be, and you second-guess what to charge. You're ready to tighten the craft, put clear pricing, policies and bookings in place, and start treating this like a business instead of a favour you do for people.

→ Go straight to the Braider Growth Intensive

Need more personalised 1:1 training? Our Private Training might be right for you.

Six seats per session. Choose your weekend, Dublin 2026.

Location: Fab Xtensions Braiding Studio, Ormond Quay, Dublin City.

Braiding Foundation

Best for beginners learning properly for the first time.

27 and 28 June, Dublin studio.

Learn one high-demand style to a clean, professional standard, with a practice system that makes the skill stick after you leave. This is the right first step if you want to braid properly rather than guess your way through it.

Choose your day, or do both:

  • Saturday 27 June — Knotless Box Braids. Clean parting, adding extensions, and a finish that looks like a professional did it.

  • Sunday 28 June — Cornrows & Stitch Braids. Clean parting, even feed-ins, and consistent tension and professional braiding techniques.

Do one day to master a single style, or the full weekend to walk away with two.

What you'll be able to do afterwards: braid your chosen style cleanly and confidently, part with control, and follow a personal practice plan designed to guide you with the tools and steps to improve.

One day: €245. Or three interest-free instalments of €81.66 with Klarna. Full weekend (both styles): €440. Or three interest-free instalments of €146.66 with Klarna. Saves €50 versus booking each day separately.

The Braider Growth Intensive

For braiders who are ready to take clients. 4 and 5 July, Dublin studio.

Two days that sharpen your technique and then teach you the part nobody shows you: how to turn braiding into income. You leave braiding cleaner and faster, and knowing what to charge, how to present yourself, and how to get the right clients in your chair.

The two days:

  • Saturday 4 July — Technique refinement. Cleaner partings, better tension, more speed, and the consistency that lets clients trust your work.

  • Sunday 5 July — The business of braiding. Pricing your work properly, presenting yourself professionally, and the path to your first paid clients.

What you'll be able to do afterwards: braid to a standard you can charge for, price your work without flinching, and present yourself as a professional rather than someone who "does hair on the side."

€545. Or three interest-free instalments of €181.66 with Klarna.

Seats are limited to six and prepared for you personally, so all bookings are non-refundable. With 14 days' notice you can move to a future date. Read Full booking policy.

How you'll learn braiding

THE FAB METHOD

Most braiding training never slow down enough for you to understand the hand placement and movement behind each style. The Fab Method does the opposite. It focuses on three things that separate braiding as a hobby from braiding as a profession:

Correction in real time. Braiding is a series of hand sequences, movements and placement, and small mistakes compound fast. As you work, I show you the movement and placement that give you the right grip and tension, so your braids come out neither too tight nor too loose, while accounting for the hair's density and the scalp's sensitivity in front of you. You're corrected as you go, which is the only way a technical skill like this sticks.

A practice plan you take home. You leave with a 30-day practice plan built around your level, not a generic checklist. The day teaches the skill. The plan is how you keep it.

A path to getting paid. Knowing how to braid and knowing how to earn from it are two different skills, and I teach both. Foundations takes your technique to a professional standard. The Braider Growth Intensive is where that becomes income, with the pricing, bookings and clients to back it.

What's included?

  • Your professional starter kit, plus the supplier list and product guide that tells you exactly what to buy and where, so you are not wasting money on the wrong tools.

  • Your professional reference, not a leaflet. A working manual you'll keep using long after the day ends.

    Inside:

    • The fundamentals, explained properly. Sectioning, parting and tension, why each one matters and how to make it consistent, so you understand what your hands are doing rather than copying shapes off a screen.

    • Sizing and quantity guides. How to size your partings and braids for different styles, and exactly how much hair each style needs, so you stop guessing and stop over-ordering.

    • Tools that earn their place. The full kit list, what each tool is actually for, and what to skip, so you don't waste money on things you'll never use.

    • Where to buy, in Ireland and online. A vetted supplier list for hair, products and tools, so you're not trawling forums hoping a brand is any good.

    • Professional standards. Hygiene, consultation, scalp and tension safety, and the aftercare advice to give every client, so your work protects their hair and your name.

    • Your 30-day practice plan. Built around your level on the day. What to practise, in what order, and how to know you're improving.

This is the reference most braiders spend years piecing together through trial and error. You leave with it in your hands on day one.

  • capped at six, so you are corrected as an individual and never lost in a crowd.

Hi, I’m Angela

Founder, professional braider and educator at one of Ireland's leading braiding studios.

At Fab Xtensions in Dublin, I blend African artistry with advanced technique to create precision knotless, stitch braids and protective styles for every hair type. It's the only studio in Ireland doing this work to this standard.

Beyond the chair, I train the next generation. My work has reached Netflix's Wednesday and the Gate Theatre in Dublin, I trained the head and deputy head of wigs for Hamilton, and LinkedIn Dublin recently brought me in to lead a braiding workshop for their team.

When I started, braiding in Ireland wasn't being done to a high standard, and the braiders doing it were underpaid and overworked. I'm changing that. Braiding is a craft, and like any craft it deserves to be done well and paid for properly. That's what my work was recognised for at the Irish Hair and Beauty Industry Awards, and it's what I teach. If you've ever wondered whether braiding can actually pay you, that's the question this training answers.

Feedback from a Braider who trained with Angela

She created a supportive and encouraging learning environment, and her passion for braiding truly showed. I left feeling more confident in my abilities and excited to practice what I learned. Highly recommend her workshop to anyone looking to perfect their stitch braids!
