About meI'm Angela, the braider behind Fab Xtensions and founder of Fab Braiders Academy.
I've been braiding professionally in Dublin for over 7 years, working with clients across all hair textures. Afro-textured, fine, wavy. I've learned what actually works when the hair in front of you doesn't match the tutorials you've seen online.
The techniques I teach in this academy are the same ones I use with my clients every day. Clean parting. Controlled tension. Systematic sectioning. The fundamentals that make braids look professional, not just passable.
I started this academy because too many people are learning from tutorials that only show one hair type, or that skip over the technical details that actually matter. You need to understand why your hands should be positioned a certain way, not just watch someone do it and hope you can copy it.
This training is structured, specific, and built for real application. Whether you're braiding yourself, your family, or building a service, you'll learn techniques that actually hold up under pressure.

You’ll receive a curated tools list to support your training. You can practise on yourself or a willing person. A mannequin helps, but you can still progress without one.

That usually comes down to product selection and application, parting technique, or tension control. The lessons break down exactly what to adjust so your results look consistent across the full head.

Most people feel a big improvement in 4 weeks with consistent practice. Confidence usually lands around 8 to 12 weeks as your muscle memory builds through repeated braiding.

The core training can be completed well within 6 months. If you need more time, you’ll have a renewal option for another 6 months.
