You know you want to improve your braiding. You just need the right guidance and practice.
Maybe you’ve taught yourself through YouTube, you braid your own hair, your children’s hair or your friends. Or you’ve attended a braiding class before, learned the basics or focused on one particular style, but you know there’s still more you want to develop.
You might already know how to braid but want cleaner partings, better grip and tension, more confidence adding braiding hair extensions, or better consistency from one braid to the next.
Or maybe you’re starting from the beginning and want to learn with someone there to actually see what your hands are doing and guide you as you learn.
Ongoing Braiding Classes give you the structure to learn, practise, receive individual feedback and keep developing your skills over time.
Learn in class
Hands-on instruction in a maximum group of six.
Practise at home
Work on focused exercises between sessions.
Return with feedback
Submit your work, receive feedback and continue developing the following week.

“I did braid training with Angela and she’s an incredible teacher. I was a complete beginner, and she was so patient, showing and explaining over and over until I got it, without ever making me feel uncomfortable. I enjoyed my time, gained confidence to keep practicing, and I’ve now added braids to my services. Highly recommended!”

MEET ANGELA
I'm Angela Eruba, founder of Fab Xtensions and creator of Fab Braiders Academy.
For years, I've worked with clients across Ireland, helping them achieve styles that are not only visually refined but also prioritise hair health, comfort, and long-lasting results.
Along the way, I noticed a common challenge among aspiring braiders. Many were eager to learn, but struggled with the foundations that create confidence, clean results, and consistency. Questions around clean parting, fixing loose braids, product selection, and client readiness came up again and again.
Fab Braiders Academy was created in response to that need.
Everything taught within the Academy is rooted in real client experience, practical application, and the professional standards that have shaped Fab Xtensions.
Beyond the studio, my work has included training within theatre production, contributions to screen and stage projects, cultural braiding workshops, and educational experiences designed to make professional braiding more accessible. My work has been connected to productions including Hamilton Musical and Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2, as well as corporate workshops delivered for organisations such as LinkedIn.
My goal is simple: to help aspiring and developing braiders build confidence, strengthen their technique, and develop skills they can be proud of.
Because confidence doesn't come from learning more styles. It comes from understanding the fundamentals, refining your technique, and reaching the point where you trust your own work.
Answers to all your burning questions…
-
You can join whether you already have some braiding experience or you’re starting from the beginning.
If you’ve never braided before, you’ll receive a short introductory exercise before your first class to familiarise yourself with the basic three-strand movement. We’ll then work through the foundations together in your first session.
If you already braid, we’ll look at your current technique and identify the areas you need to strengthen.
-
The programme is designed for aspiring and developing braiders, and students will naturally arrive at different levels.
Because the group is limited to six, I can observe your individual technique and help you work on the areas that need development rather than expecting everyone to progress in exactly the same way.
If you’re already an experienced professional braider looking for advanced or style-specific training, one of our private training options may be more suitable.
-
Your first four classes are designed to build on each other, so new students begin from the first session of an intake rather than joining midway through.
If the Group intake has already started, you can register your interest for the next available intake or join the Private 6-Week Braider Development

-
Yes. The programme is designed around learning in class and practising Fab Braiders Academy online lessons between sessions.
You don’t need to spend hours practising every day, but consistent practice is an important part of developing a hands-on skill like braiding, and getting the most from your four weeks.
-
Yes. The Founding October Intake includes an additional Live Model Class, where you’ll have the opportunity to apply your developing technique to real hair with guidance.

-
That will depend on your starting point, how consistently you practise and how your technique develops.
The programme is designed to build stronger foundations, improve your technique and help you become more confident and independent in your braiding. It does not promise professional mastery within four weeks.
-
Graduates have exclusive access to 3-hour Graduate Practice Classes for €75 per session.
These sessions allow you to return for supervised practice, continue working on techniques you’re developing and receive further guidance without enrolling in another full programme.
-
No. Graduate Practice Classes are exclusively available to students who have completed the four-week Ongoing Braiding Classes programme.
If you haven’t completed the programme, Fab Braiders Academy offers separate private and style-specific training options.
